Afghanite is a rare, deep blue feldspathoid mineral, named after its discovery location in Afghanistan, often found with sodalite and lazurite, forming beautiful blue crystals or masses in metamorphic rocks, valued by collectors and sometimes cut as small gems, known for its bright orange fluorescence under UV light.
