Raw Kyanite

Kyanite is a blue aluminosilicate mineral known for its distinctive bladed crystals, variable hardness (soft along the blade, hard across), and use in high-temperature ceramics and as a semi-precious gemstone. Its name comes from the Greek word for blue ("kyanos"), though it can also be colorless, gray, green, or orange. Kyanite forms under intense metamorphic pressure deep in the Earth, making it an important indicator mineral.
